The Kinstone Bible Trilogy comes in three hefty volumes. The combined weight of the three hardcover books is 12.4 lbs. They encompass 2,023 full-color pages with impressive artwork.
As a matter of fact, the artwork in the bible was done by those who have worked with Marvel and DC comic book publishers.
This Bible Trilogy is one of the most complete adaptations of the Bible in a graphic form. It provides a different look at the stories in the bible from Genesis to Revelation and with its full and stunning color images it really brings the stories to life.
CEO of Kingstone, Art Ayris notes:
The truth is, I never envisioned myself as a comics publisher. But I did feel a divine, electromagnetic pull into media. As a former children’s pastor working with unchurched kids coming from marginal and challenging circumstances I was always scraping and struggling to find good resources to explain and teach the Bible to them. Out of all these circumstances was born Kingstone Comics as a way to explain the Scriptural truth to kids as well as provide some healthy entertainment.

My thoughts on The Kingstone Bible Trilogy
This Bible is designed with very well-done comic and graphic illustrations. If you or your child grew up loving comic books, then this will be right up your alley. It is a great option for older kids or teenagers. I appreciate the fact that they didn’t sugarcoat violent scenes from the Bible, but be cautious of this depending on your child’s age.
Because of the comic-style illustrations, this is an absolute joy to flip through and read. I find myself looking at the same page for lengthy periods of time simply to see all the details.
There are many versions of the Bible and this is very much a paraphrased version. If that bothers you, then this isn’t the Bible for you. However, the authors do provide a scripture reference at the bottom of every single page. This is a great detail that helps you know where you’re at if you want to dig deeper. The Bible adds a different perspective as you are reading another person’s visual interpretation of the stories of the book.
If you are not a “reader” then this Bible is for you! I know when I was a teenager, I didn’t find my joy sitting down to read any book. I can easily get lost in long blocks of text.
Lastly, the Bibles are very well put together. From the binding to the high-quality paper, they do not disappoint! It will make the perfect gift for your teen or someone you know.

In Summary
The Kinstone Bible Trilogy is a great read for anyone who is struggling to get through the Bible or who needs a “fun” Bible. This bible is designed to keep its readers engaged visually throughout the entire read. And it does such a good job at this that you have to make an effort to not rush to see it all at once.
Though this is not a scripture by scripture type of reading it does have scriptural references at the bottom of each page. So after reading through a story, you will know which scripture to reference if you need to.
This set is made up of three Bibles which are beautifully designed, bound, and printed. They should last you a long time. They are a great gift idea and come at a really good price point.

Bonus
Kingstone doesn’t just produce the Bible Trilogy, they also have many short one-off comics explaining various topics and stories. These individual comics are great. I especially liked “Luther”! Others like “Hell” explain hell references in the Bible and lightly touch on how different Biblical scholars approach the topic.
